ISO 45001 Successful Qualification

We are very pleased to announce the successful migration and qualification of our Health and Safety Management System from OHSAS 18001 to ISO 45001, the first international standard for Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems (OHSMS).

Whilst this standard applies across the entire organisation, and contribution is, and continues to be made by all departments, particular thanks and recognition for their outstanding work has to be given to the core team consisting of Debra Harwood, David Gouldsbrough, Stephanie Keenan and Helen Mather. Debra deserves additional acknowledgement having led the transition comfortably ahead of next year’s deadline.

The transition has occurred over an 18-month period and was concluded following a COVID-19 compliant audit maintaining the company’s safe working practices during this pandemic.

Paul H. Jones, Managing Director commented, “The management of Health and Safety is engrained in our business ethos. Whilst the elements of ISO 45001 are already practiced within the business, it is always good to progress and have our systems and procedures challenged. Confirmation from specialist auditors that we operate robust, efficient, and effective systems is gratifying. Credit to the team who despite the difficult prevailing conditions, have worked tirelessly to ensure that the transition and qualification occurred in a timely manner, ahead of schedule.”
