The policy at Bitrez is to control its activities, maintaining sufficient control to avoid unnecessary or unacceptable risk to the safety and welfare of employees, customers and the general public.

Bitrez ensures that the business is integrated with a long-term strategy to environmental welfare. Innovating enables companies throughout the supply chain to adhere quickly to environmental regulatory and legislation to go further.

Operating in a heavily regulated industry so we ensure that a good environmental practise is a must. With an established environmental management system manual and procedures, we determine the environmental impact prior to developing a new product. This forms the basis of future planning and our endeavour to promote safer, cleaner and more acceptable company operations.

To reduce our environmental impact, ensure that we are efficient in using our resources such as our water treatment works to use recycled water, energy cooling tower and further systems are in place for other aspects of the business.

We meet all relevant national and international environmental laws and regulations and strive to continuously improve our environmental performance. We are certified to ISO14001 environmental standard and  ISO 45001 for Health and Safety. We also comply to the European Union regulation concerning the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and restriction of Chemicals (REACH).

Our environmental management system manual has been designed to establish procedures, which will achieve this policy and additionally conform to national standards. Bitrez utilises the environmental management system to aid the control and update of policies and procedures, and distributes information drawn therefrom in addition to specific approved codes of practice and statutory requirements to train and maintain all areas and aspect of the environmental system.
